In my practice, I use my “clair” abilites along with reiki to tap into the 7 main chakras, as well as energy stored in other parts of the body. Here is a short overview of the abilities and chakras for those who are unfamiliar.

The “Clair” Abilities

  • Clairvoyance (“Clear Seeing”)

    • The ability to receive intuitive messages through inner sight or symbolic images.

    • May appear as visions, colors, auras, or pictures in the mind’s eye.

    • Example: Seeing a flash of light around someone when their energy shifts.

    • Often felt as chills, heaviness, warmth, or “gut feelings.”

    • Example: Walking into a room and instantly sensing tension or joy.

  • Claircognizance (“Clear Knowing”)

    • A sudden sense of knowing without logical explanation.

    • Insights arrive fully formed, as if the truth just “drops in.”

    • Example: Knowing who is about to call before the phone rings.

  • Clairalience (“Clear Smelling”)

    • Smelling scents that aren’t physically present.

    • Often tied to memories, spirits, or energetic signs.

    • Example: Smelling a loved one’s perfume as a sign of their presence.

  • Clairgustance (“Clear Tasting”)

    • Tasting something without actually eating or drinking.

    • Often symbolic or tied to spirit communication.

    • Example: Tasting tobacco when connecting with someone who smoked.

  • Clairtangency (“Clear Touch” / Psychometry)

    • Receiving intuitive impressions through physical touch.

    • Objects, photos, or places can carry energy that transmits information.

    • Example: Holding jewelry and sensing its owner’s history or emotions.

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)
